In celebration of the 112th anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service this coming September 2012 with the theme “Kawani, Ikaw ay Isang Lingkod Bayani,” the Civil Service Commission (CSC) will once again hold the “R.A.C.E. to Serve II Fun Run.” To be held on Sept. 8, 5:00 a.m. at the Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park, Manila, Vice President Jejomar C. Binay and CSC Chairman Francisco T. Duque III will be leading the event.
The categories are 3K, 5K, and 10K, men and women. The fun run is open to the general public. Runners have to be 18 years old and above to participate.
Everyone is encouraged to take part in the said undertaking as the proceeds of the fun run will go to an endowment fund for families of civil servants who died in the line of duty. Registration is until August 6. The form may be downloaded from http://www.celebratepcsa.wordpress.com.
The fun run is held in cooperation with the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), National Parks and Development Committee (NPDC), City Government of Manila, Pasay City Government, and Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP).
